‘Feel yourself being quietly drawn by the deeper pull of what you truly love.’
Rumi
Two months after the death of my father, I find myself drawn to the blank canvas & listening in a deeper way, beyond the usual. The whale to me is symbolic of being able to descend to great depths of grief & then resurface; she sings with an ancient wisdom that is beyond words; & she rocks me gently while inviting me to float & flow with the water, as I find my own unique origin story, through father. The moon here is full, illuminating the dark & invoking trust. The labyrinth, this universal symbol of healing, (for both ourselves AND other) ever present in so many of my artworks.
