Jesus is Taken Down From the Cross

To represent Mary & her loss & grief as she tends the body of Jesus, I have elected to use an image of a Leafy Sea Dragon (Phycoduras Eques). The kelp beds around southern Australia, where the Leafy Sea Dragon lives, are moving due to climate change. These vulnerable but adaptable beauties represent the preciousness of high level care-giving, where those who choose to serve often wade into situations for which there is no real preparation, other than your willingness and love to do so. Concentric circles represent the ripples outward from this form of love & devotion.
